Artadia Awards Atlanta Closing Soon
Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue is currently accepting applications for the inaugural Artadia Awards 2009 from all visual artists living and working in Greater Atlanta (23-county area). Individual artists and collaboratives working in all media and at any point in their career are strongly encouraged to apply. Awardees will be selected in early 2009 through Artadia’s two-tiered jury process.
Artadia is an arts nonprofit based in New York that supports artists in their local communities in select cities in the US. Atlanta is the newest Artadia program city, which also operates in Chicago, Boston, Houston, and San Francisco. The online applications are open (and free) to all visual artists living and working in the select community, in this case the Greater Atlanta 23-county area. Awardees are selected in a two-tiered jury process that includes bringing curators to Atlanta for studio visits, which in turn also help put Atlanta more on the map of significant arts centers in the US [also one of Art Relish’s goals!]. Once granted an award, the artists become a part of the Artadia family and benefit from a lifelong support structure, offering professional advice and access to a network of collectors, curators, gallerists, community art organizations, and other art professionals.
Applications must be submitted online by December 1, 2008 at 11:59pm (EST).
