For its first show of 2008, Eyedrum is looking for Atlanta’s biggest copycats in the realms of art, literature and music. We want new interpretations, updates of older works to reflect a modern point of view, a modification, an homage. CALL FOR ARTISTS: Temporary Public Art Projects
The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs Public Art Program (PAP) is seeking artists to develop temporary site-specific public art projects with Stuart Keeler, national artist and curator of public spaces. Digital, video, sound and other new genre works that experiment with the urban landscape and its sustainable future will make up the curatorial focus of this project. Sculpture, performance and innovative approaches to painting, drawing and printmaking are also encouraged. Up to twelve (12) artists will be commissioned to develop projects.
The projects will open throughout the City of Atlanta in specified parks in early June of 2008. Read the rest of this entry »
