The 4th Friday Art Stroll just keeps getting interestinger and interestinger. We began the evening with Pam Rogers at Gallery Stokes to chat about her exhibtion, “A Fine Line.”
And as we were walking down the street, noticed something new and different. Curious creatures are we, and stepped over the chain into the formerly empty lot to meet Daniel Quinn, the director of Stand Alone Gallery. Daniel promises us that Stand Alone will pop up somewhere else in the future, so look for it. Later we came across Dean Velez and his amazing 3D constructions at the Art House Gallery.
There was plenty more to see, and we’ll be back. Someone I spoke with yesterday didn’t know what the Castleberry Hill 4th Friday Art Stroll was, so here’s a little taste. I encourage everyone to make some time for the next.

I put artist Katie Waugh on the spot the other day for a preview of her show “Be Sure Your Presence is Observed” at ACA Gallery, 15th and Art Center Way, just across from the Arts Center MARTA station.
For more about her work, and additional elements from this installation, check out her Web site, katiewaugh.com. Best to Katie, who will be moving on to Chicago in the near future.
